About Me
|
Hey there! I'm Olivia, and I'm, well, many things. Most recently, I'm a new graduate of American University, where I earned degrees in Musical Theater and Environmental Studies. Among my other multitudinous identities, I consider myself a loyal friend, unapologetic Jersey girl, and insect advocate.
Growing up in the small town of Pennington, New Jersey, I've come to treasure the tight-knit community that theater provides wherever I go. To me, storytelling is one of the most magical facets of humanhood and is critical in every profession. Emotion is a gift worth reveling in. More specifically, I've discovered a passion for scientific storytelling—the use of artistic disciplines to make highly complex or technical topics more accessible—and hope to marry my two fields of study in my work. Performance allows us to empathize with parts of the human experience that we may not encounter otherwise, empowering theatergoers and young learners to connect over common ground. From passionate calls for action to the messy and mundane, every performance offers me a new lesson to learn. Thank you for taking the time to learn about me and my work. Whoever you are, I look forward to crossings paths! |
